Meet the Speaker: Fredrick Grimm, Co-founder and COO of FIXD Automotive, the company behind AppraisalPRO
As Co-founder and COO of FIXD Automotive, Frederick Grimm has spent more than a decade making vehicle diagnostics something anyone can read. An industrial engineer by training, he started FIXD in 2015 with two Georgia Tech classmates and grew it to over 9 million connected vehicles. In 2024 he launched AppraisalPRO to bring that same diagnostic platform onto the dealership floor — and today he works with 1,600+ franchise rooftops on appraisal accuracy and recon cost. He’s based in Atlanta.
His take is direct: the appraisal desk is flying blind. Dealers price trade-ins on cosmetics, mileage, and history reports, but the one thing that actually drives recon cost — what’s mechanically wrong under the hood — stays invisible until it’s too late.
